Parent Softworks can be thought of as a kind of Child Management System for busy parents. The program is divided into five sections: Child Info, Personality Typing, Health, Memories and Reference. We'll go through each of these one at a time.

When you first open the program you will be given a blank document. The first thing you'll notice is the the screen is split into three sections. Buttons are in a section on the left, a form is on the bottom right and a title and child drop-down is in the section on the top right (see first screenshot below).

The navigation buttons on the left provide a simple way to navigate around Parent Softworks. When you click on the buttons, the form on the bottom right changes. The child drop-down on the top right allows you to easily switch between children. You can add as many children as you like to the program.

• The first page is the Child Information page where you'll fill in basic information about your child including birth weight, length, head size, etc. There's also space to write your birth story on this page.
• Much of this information is used by the program to generate reports and customize content to your child.

• Personality Test page (see screenshot): If you'd like to look at the personality-based advice in the program, you can take this simple 28 -question test to help you determine your child's type.
• Personality Description page: This page describes the personality type that you chose on the test page. The information here will help you understand your child better.
• How to Communicate page: Find out the best way to talk with your child based on his or her personality type.
• How to Teach page (see screenshot): Read tips to help you better and more easily teach your child.
• Help Them Obey page: Learn how to entice your child to behave and do what you want.
• Help Them Succeed page: Explore ways that you can help your child succeed in school and life.
• Problems and Solutions page: Find the solutions to common problems that parents encounter with your child's personality type.

• Quick Reference page: The program calculates your child's age based on the Child Info page and generates a quick health reference offering information on common development milestones, immunizations and more.
• Pre-Doctor Notes page: Between pediatrician visits you will think of questions. This page makes a great place to record those questions and print before your next appointment.
• Doctor Visit Notes page (see screenshot): Record every pediatrician visit you have with this child. This keeps an important record of what was discussed and what shots your child received.
• Growth Charts page (see screenshot): The program automatically compiles all the weight, height and head size data you enter on the Doctor Visit Notes page to generate instant growth charts.
• Illness Log page: Record each of your child's illnesses. This makes a great reference for your pediatrician and allows you to see how your child generally reacts to certain common illnesses like colds or flus.
• Diet Log page: Keep a log of your child's diet. Print and take to your pediatrician to make sure your child is getting the right nutrients.

• Firsts page: Record the date and detail of your child's firsts like first words, first steps or first ice cream. So many times parents forget the detail or dates of these important events.
• Quotes page: Like the Firsts page, the Quotes page helps you keep an accurate record of your child's sometimes hilarious lines.
• Diary page: Keep a diary of your experiences with your child.
• Photos page (see screenshot): This built-in photo album makes it easy to find your favorite photos. When you click on the thumbnail image you get a full-size image that you can resize as you wish.

• Books page: Read quick reviews of a few of our favorite and highly recommended parenting books.
• Links page: Find links to all the best parenting Web sites. Click a link on this page and the program automatically opens a browser and loads up the page (requires an Internet connection).
• Printable Forms page: Print all kinds of important and handy checklists and logs.
